StoryTown - Content
The article is succinct and includes the main point of the story. It includes relevant details of the story, as well as the name and author of the story. 
The article is missing one or two of these elements. OR the content is not interesting or relevant. 
The article is missing three or more of these elements. 
St. Dom's - Content
The article is pertinent to an event happening at St. Dominic School. It includes the 5 Ws and is exciting to read. 
The article is outdated. It is missing important details. The content is not too exciting to read. 
The article is either missing or made up. 
Robust Vocabulary
There are a total of four robust vocabulary words - two per story. They are either in bold or underlined. 
There are three robust vocabulary words OR they are not bold or underlined. 
There is less than three words. 
Headlines/Captions
Each headline grabs the reader's attention. All major words are capitalized. Each photo has a caption describing what is occuring. 
The headlines are direct. Not all major words are capitalized. OR one is missing. 
There are no captions or headlines. 
Spelling/Grammar
The spelling is perfect. There are no grammatical errors, such as incorrect punctuation or run on sentences. 
There are 1-3 errors in spelling and capitalization. 
There are four or more errors in spelling and capitalization.

There is at least one relevant photo/picture for each story. 
There is a photo or picture for only one story. 
There are no pictures.
